Dana M. VanDerHeyden

Dana VanDerHeyden was born and raised in Richmond Hill, Georgia. She graduated from Clemson University in 2021 with degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies before earning her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 2024. After being admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2025, Dana joined the firm’s Wills, Trusts, and Probate Department, where she helps customers create plans that protect their families and preserve what matters most.

Dana was drawn to the legal profession because it combines problem-solving with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She enjoys helping customers navigate estate planning by creating personalized plans that provide confidence and peace of mind. Taking the time to understand each customer’s priorities, family dynamics, and long-term goals allows her to develop thoughtful solutions that reflect their values and wishes.

Known for being compassionate, thoughtful, and reliable, Dana is committed to making the estate planning process approachable and easy to understand. She believes the best estate plan is one that reflects who a person is, not just what they own. By breaking down complex legal concepts into straightforward guidance, she empowers customers to make informed decisions with confidence.

Outside of the office, Dana enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new national parks, discovering local coffee shops, and traveling whenever she can. In the fall, you’ll likely find her watching football, and she’s always happy to spend time with family and friends. Many people are surprised to learn that she also enjoys creative hobbies like baking, drawing, painting, and taking on new DIY projects.
