Bobby D. Armes, Jr.

Bobby Armes brings more than 36 years of legal, real estate, financial, and business experience to O’Kelley & Sorohan. He joined the firm in 2010 and conducts residential real estate closings in both English and Spanish at the firm’s Duluth office. Throughout his career, Bobby has worked in residential real estate law, title insurance, finance, and business development, giving him a unique perspective on the many moving parts involved in a successful closing.
 
Bobby earned his Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in 1998 and his MBA in Finance from the University of Scranton in 1996. Before practicing law, he worked in corporate finance with Ernst & Young and held positions in the financial services industry. He is also a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Navy before retiring as a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Bobby is admitted to practice law in Georgia, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C.
 
Bobby’s passion for real estate began after purchasing his first home and experiencing firsthand the importance of having a trusted advisor during the closing process. He enjoys helping customers achieve the dream of homeownership, especially first-time buyers, and believes owning a home is a meaningful milestone that should be celebrated. Known as professional, loyal, and caring, Bobby believes the focus should always be on the customer: “It’s not about us, it’s about them.”
 
With his extensive experience, Bobby helps customers navigate the closing process with confidence and encourages them to protect their investment by protecting their title. His advice is simple: “Protect your title. Protect your investment. Buy title insurance and buy life insurance.”
 
Outside the office, Bobby enjoys staying active through exercise, golf, tennis, pickleball, and spending time at the beach or lake. He also enjoys volunteering through church ministries. Born in Panama, Bobby has a unique life story that includes serving in the U.S. Navy, experiencing historic moments firsthand, and building a life centered around family, service, and helping others.
