With more than two decades of experience in real estate law, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and helping customers and industry professionals better understand the closing process. Known by colleagues as someone who is always willing to help, Cate believes that kindness and patience go a long way—especially when navigating the challenges that can come with a real estate transaction.

Cate earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990 and her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1994, where she was a Law Faculty Scholar. She is admitted to the Georgia State Bar and North Carolina State Bar and has been actively involved in the real estate legal community, including previously serving on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of Georgia Real Property Law Section. She has also served in leadership roles with the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association and remains engaged in the legislative process as it relates to the practice of real estate law in our State. Cate has developed and taught numerous educational courses on topics including GAR contracts, fraud prevention, title issues, and real estate law.

Outside the office, Cate enjoys running, Peloton workouts, serving in her church and spending time with her family.
